Next General Elections 2009

--Given that BJP has a new trump card in Narendra Modi - how do you
think this will work for the BJP ? Will he be able to repeat the
Gujarat magic once more ?


--The Congress still have not projected a candidate for PM post, not
sure this time with Pratibha Patil as Prez, will Sonia be allowed to
head the government, if at all Congress is able to pull it off ? Rahul
does not seem any mature today than he was when he joined the
Congress....


--Mayawati is trampling all over India other than UP, canvasing for
her party than ensuring proper governance in her home state....


--and the Shiv Sena and other regional (religious ?) parties of
Maharashtra with the recent incidents in Mumbai adding on to the
pathetic state of Indian politics....

So, where is India headed ?

Mayawati seems to be pulling the rug from the Congress right under their noses....wonder if this is a trend which may indicate that the Indians are thirsting for a 3rd national party other than the BJP and the Congress ?

Is it 'Advantage Maya' now ? What do you folks think ?
