Need suggestions on care taker

Hi ladies

I need ur suggestions in this regard.

As i am pregnant now, i m planning to bring my mom here but i have a grand father too who is old and recently had bypass surgery. I am much worried about leaving him alone. No relatives are in a situation to help us.
I am in so much confusion what to do for him.
If we think of any care takers who will be with him 24hrs, we should get a reliable person right??
Food is not a problem, we could get meals from nearby mess or do any other arrangements, only thing is we need some reliable person to be with him 24 hrs,so that in case of emergency they cud help him or just be with him for a support.

Pls give me ur suggestions.

Hi San,

As you told that your grandfather need somebody to take care of him, you can

appoint some nurse/care taker. Now a days there are agencies, which will

send maids who can be relied on. (Both male and female)

I think you can appoint some body like this. All the best.

By the way what is your delivery date?

I read some time back that there are some old age homes which will take care of old people for short periods also. One is Vishranthi in Palavakkam. Ask your mother to call 24444444 Chennai Info to find about more such places and also the address of Vishranti. This is run my Mrs. Savithri Vaithi and is a very reputed place.

oh thanks varloo for the great info, even we thought so and my mom found one nearby to our home, but they are yet to open, so she s not sure whether all facilities will be there, but i can ask her to contact the no u gave.

Two years back we appointed one lady through this 'women employment' and

the number is 044 52108134, for my MIL as well as my 'patti'. this is in

mylapore area and now as Varloo said you can contact 'just dial' with that

number, and even you can see in 'just dial' web site, to get some address as

My mom is trying for vishranthi number, but she cudnt get from Chennai Info people, i browsed the net and got the site, but i think its only for women? Are men allowed? Pls let me know if u know abt it.

Hi,
You can appoint a caretaker cum nurse considering the fact that your granddad is old. Will try and come up with contact numbers. When you speak to them ask for 24 hrs care, maybe that will help.
