Driving License and Car Insurance quotes r higher than men in UK

Hi

1. Is it hard to get pass in full DL practical test in UK?. I am very desperate to get it.

2. And also i heard that for women, driver insurance will be higher than men Is it true?

Hi,
My name is Madhu and i hold full british license and I would say out of my experience that inspite of driving car bk at home for 7-8 yrs it took me lot of time and stress to get a license, but please let me not put you off from trying. If you get a good driving instructor things would be different as I had a friend who started to learn driving just here but her instructor was too good and she cleared in 1st attempt.
About insurance it is nothing like that, for last 6 yrs i have been the 1st hoder of the insurance and we never found any difference.
they calculate according to the no. of yrs the license you are holding.
Anyways Good luck and do try as driving is a must here.

I don't think the insurance differs for women from men drivers.

Also, getting a driver's license in the UK is an individual experience!

While a person who has taken driving lessons in the UK can get the license in one go or many. The same holds good for someone who has been driving for several years, for example, in India and then goes for a driving test in the UK. I know of instances where my inexperienced friends cleared their test in one go, while another had to take the test thrice.

I think it is just a matter of how well you do your driving test, did you follow rules, do you know the rules, etc.

The key is you have to be calm and confident and more importantly drive as you normally do than try to make changes in your driving style for the test. And this I say with experience:)

So don't worry too much and go ahead with the test if you have finished your driving lessons
