Hello Teju22:

Welcome to Indusladies!

Finding an Indian cook in London should not be difficult but I'm not sure about a south indian cook in particular. No idea about agencies for them but the best place to look for such services would be local indian / asian grocery shops and temples.

Hope this helps.

Sindhu

Do they give visas for cooks? Wow, didn't know that Europe's system was so easy!

Hey Manaswini,

Europe's visa system is as complicated as any other country's with loads of tiers under every category.

There should be come category of visa which employs people with a specific skill set not found in UK e.g 'Tamilian/Keralite cook specialized in Indian food'.Hmm..even the home office will not disagree on allowing someone from India to fill this job opening

Though I agree how do domestic cooks cross the border ?

Very intersting Sabitha. Thanks for the info. Usually, over here, when you see someone working in an Indian store, it's almost always a relative of someone who is a GC holder or citizen. Of course, there are exceptions to that. Just wondering cuz I've seen and heard about people filling in the "Indian" cook positions in a household.
