Thumbs up Gifts to buy from your Area

Hi all,

Often people visit places and would like to carry back some specials of that place as gifts or for their own home.

So how about listing what is special to the natives in your area or what attractive gifts can be bought from your area?

This would be helpful for people making short travels to take a look.

Cheers
Jenz

South of Germany i can immediately think of Cuckoo clocks. Even though it's from the Black-forest area i see tourists buying that in Bavaria too. Also for football fans, memorabilia. Personally I buy stainless-steel knives... i find steel is of very good quality here. I know of some friends who buy Birkenstock shoes which is a speciality of Germany.

where ever you travel around europe, the best thing you can collect are the coffee coasters.for gifting purpose,be sure you are buying something made in that country.sovereign shops are not that much better.local shops of that area are prefferd for shopping.

Thumbs up Re: Gifts to buy from your Area

Hi,

This time I will try to get Birkenstock....

Usually I collect different kinds of Brooch. Useful for both Saris & Western outfits. This can also be gifted to your lady friends.

Cheers
Jenz
