Since you are from Bangalore - anything in sandalwood maybe a good idea. Steer away from gods (though some wouldn't mind, again it is best to be neutral). Letter openers in Bidri work or sandalwood. I think even those 'wooden carving/ inlay scenes you get in Cauvery are nice. Embroidered shawls / stoles/ dupattas for ladies, maybe? Go for pastel colours to be on the safer side. Hope this helps. | HI Prabhu I gifted wooden carved elephants , which i brought in handicrafts . I should say people loved it . They do display our indian craftmenship . People do like miniature of tajmahal and stuff . try it out. Cheers Deepa |

Any idea on what brand or what type of tea i should go far? as u know being a south indian i am not a tea drinker , i saw the darjeeling tea sachets in my european office? are these the same as what is sold in india? or there is something diff for europe?Thanks, Prabha |

| We have always bought pashmina shawls and silk scarves for my husband's colleagues. They like those a lot. You can also think of nicely carved incense stick holders plus incense sticks as a gift set. I see a lot of incense sticks and perfumed candles in craze now. I usually also buy jute bags (the elegant types) for my friends but i don't know if they are appropriate for colleagues. Latha |
