Are there Indian temples in Dubai, Bahrain, Muscat and similar middle-eastern countries? How is religious and personal freedom there?

    Dear Lehari,
In Dubai, as many have written in their mails, we have a Krishna Temple (Srinathji) and a Shiv temple+ Gurudwara. In the Siva temple, they also perform Aiyappan Puja, Vishnu Sahasranama Chanting, Homams etc. Again, we have to respect the law of the land. During Ramadan fasting period, prasad will be distributed only after the Iftar time(breaking fast).

We used to have Sai Baba temple & a Panchamukha Hanuman temple. But these temples had to be closed due to some local regulations.

We can have prayers, chantings etc at home, only ensuring that the neightbours do not complain.
In Muscat, I think they have a temple with Gopuram, as we see in India. Our fellow IL members from Oman can throw some light on this.

    Regards
    USHA
