Default Comparison - Life in Middle East

Hi Friends,

How do you feel about the life in Middle East when compared to the life in India? Which one would you feel is better and why?

I feel that life in Gulf has become monotonous with the same routine. We miss our parents, our friends, relatives, important occasions like weddings and our festivals. Don't you feel so?.

Many parents prefer to live in India once their child finishes their primary education. They feel that in India Education is good and there are lots of competitions regarding studies & extra curricular. Only when there is competition children tend to learn a lot.

Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

Friends,

Is this a boring subject or not willing to share your thoughts? Not a single reply from my fellow I'lites who live in Middle East.

Do come out with your opinions and suggestions....

Hi Bullu,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I agree life is monotonous. To a certain extent in India but a lot more in Middle East. But I am sure when we share our ideas and opinions we can get good tips on better living...

Hi latha,

Surprising to c u here but gud . I agree with u but in India we have lot more places to visit even though not possible every now and then. But for the people living in India, have the opportunity right? be it friends / relatives.

When it comes to important occasions like weddings, house warming, seemandham etc we do miss a lot. Cant keep travel ling for each and every occasion which is not viable.

Lets take an example. Our parents fall sick for some reasons. Not possible to travel often cos we have a family here to take care of ..Of course it goes without saying that life abroad (including other places in the world) is comfortable but there are times where our presence is most needed but unfortunately have to forgo few things for many reasons.

Hope i didn't bore u much. BTW thanks for your concern.

Dear Sharadha
I don't think all the middle east countries are bad ya which we are not able to leave but have seen Dubai, malaysia, singapore and India I don't think there is much difference in these countries. Yes as we are Indian we prefer India to be the best as we have our relatives, so many things happening and outside India we do stay all alone. So we are not enjoying the functions and festivals with our family and friends as we do in India. I have travelled so many countries but everywhere we do come across some advantages and disadvantage.
I can read your concern yes we have to leave a different way when we r out of our own country. I left my home land when my son was in class 3 and now he is in class 12 had no problem with his studies too till now.........touch wood and hope it will be so hence forth.
I agree to you when our dear one's fall sick it is really difficult for us to go and take care of them. But everything is not in our hands................to get one thing we sometimes have to sacrific another..............if everything will happen the way we want then dear Sharadha the world will be so wonderful.................
I had missed my own bro's marriage, once my sis was very very sick but had an opportunity to go and meet her. Now she is fine. So sometimes we are able to go and sometimes we are not.

Hi Aruna,

Thanks a lot for stepping in here and sharing your ideas. I mainly started this thread to know what people feel about their children's education. Some prefer to go back to India or to migrate to Australia or Canada for the children to pursue their studies. Cos they feel that there isn't much competition in this part of the world. Yeah, wherever you are other than India you tend to miss a few things in life. Of course we have made up our mind and only then stepped in to live our life outside our country. Some people though they are in good posts leave this place and migrate to another place where they can get good education for their children.

Each one might come up with different ideas and suggestions which might be useful for the others and so wanted everyone to share their views. Got it?
