Ok, now I feel like doing a review on VLCC Lip Shield in Strawberry flavour. If you ever wonder how it looks, this is it...
The story behind this was my little sis has been using this on a regular basis. I was tempted to try this one day and believe me, its amazing. The very next moment, I wanted this. I could not find this everywhere, but Health & Glow (at least, this is what I observed). Great if found elsewhere because Health & Glow stores are not so frequent.
This cute little 10 ml container comes for 80 rupees. I know it sounds gross when I say that I bought this based on the longevity of the product. It has a 4-year-expiry period. I dont know why things with more life expectancy get my attention, like for instance, Biotique products too stay long for about 5 years from the manufactured period which is why I buy them.
Off late, my interest has been carried over from lip glosses to lip balms. Sticks were never my cup of tea though I own a couple of them.
Coming to the product, its sheer and soft without that typical waxy feel on the lips. Its definitely not heavy. As promised, enriched with Strawberry, Vitamin E and Shea Butter, it really helps heal the pout. I always like it when I apply the product with my hands (of course, sanitized). It acts as a real good base for any lip product like lipstick or lip gloss.
The sweetest thing about this little baby is it has SPF 10, which means it protects the lips from sun to some extent. It also comes in different flavours like Mint and Cocoa butter, suitable for all skin types.
The Cocoa-butter flavour looked like cold coffee. Coffee is a big no-no for me. I have heard enough of the mint-flavoured lip products, which is nothing but a marketing strategy I suppose. Hence, I opted for the strawberry flavour. It purely smells like strawberry icecream though I hate ice cream. I literally hate strawberry flavour, especially in candies, chewing gum and ice cream (yuck), but this lip balm got my attention somehow and I am really glad I got my hands on it.
Good investment for a lip treatment. Its really a great product and is a true winner. Glad if any reviews on the two other flavours.
This is purely my personal opinion and no other intentions. Feel free if I missed out the useful. Hope you like this!
