Post Steaming to clean all types of skin...

I have heard steaming is beneficial for cleaning all types of skin. It removes the dirt on the surface of the skin, stimulates blood circulation and also opens clogged pores.

Those who have dry skin - steam only once a week.
For oily skin better to do it everyday.

To make steaming more beneficial add a teaspoon of rosemary herbs.

Cool Make your own scrubber...

Hi Ladies,

Here's a tip to make your own scrubber...very effective one.

Don't throw off citrus peels (like orange and lemon peels). Dry and store them. Mix it with glycerine or lime juice. They are very effective scrubbers on rough skin. They also remove off the pimple scars or dark spots on the skin.

PS: If you have a oily skin, do not use them.

Ladies, this is one more tip, in addition to what Diya has told...

To remove and prevent blackheads, gently rub coarse rice powder mixed with a little water on the blackheads. Rub it in circular motion say for 5 - 10 mins and then wash off.

Mix channadal powder with milk or honey. Apply it in areas affected with blackheads and leave it for 20mins.
Then wash with warm water...regular treatment like this twice a week will help get rid of black heads.

Default Green Gram scrub

Try this if you have a oily skin...

Powder equal proportions of Green Gram + Fenugreek (methi seeds)
Take 2 to 3 tspn of this powder and mix with water to a thick consistency.
Apply this to your face (like a scrub) and wash off.
You can also use this for you entire body while bathing instead of soap.

This reduces oiliness in skin and makes it soft and glowing.

This is an ayurvedic home based remedy and causes no harm!

Hi, try this natural cleanser if you have a oily skin.

Mix 2 tbspns of curd with 1/2 tbspn of lime juice. Massage this mix all over the face. Wash off after it dries.

I have found this to be very effective.

Post To treat sunburns...

During summer those with sensitive skin can get affected with Sun burns.

To treat sunburns, peel and grate a cucumber. Squeeze the juice, mix half-a-teaspoon glycerin and half-a-teaspoon rose water. Apply this on sunburns, leave it for some time and then wash.
