| Hi Sujakalyan, Here is your query answered: Tips to make lipstick last longer There are other ways to help make your lipstick last longer, such as to apply a layer of lipstick and then blot it with a tissue and then go ahead and apply another layer of lipstick. This is like putting on two coats of paint. It looks better and has more coverage to stay on longer and look fresh longer. The first layer of lipstick is to seal the color into the lips. The second is to make it bright and looking fresh and longer lasting If you like pencil lip liners there are just about as many colors of lip liner as there are of lipstick. When applying lip liner to make your lipstick last longer it helps because the lip liner is dryer than the lipstick and won't smudge off as easily. Also the liner keeps the lipstick from running off the lips and going away to not last longer. You can also try applying a thin layer of lipstick with a lipbrush instead of from the tube. Thin layers are said to stay on longer than thick layers. This could be because a thin layer is dryer and not as likely to come off because it sticks to the lips better. There are ways to make your lipstick last longer with just using your make up at hand or some baby powder. Use the baby powder on lips to make the lipstick last longer, put the lipstick on and then put a gentle, thin layer of powder on the lips. This dries the lipstick and locks in the color of the lipstick. Then if a more vibrant color is wanted apply a second coat of lipstick over the powder and first layer of lipstick. Powder foundation can also be used. To use the makeup at hand to help make your lipstick last longer, use a liquid foundation on the lips before the lipstick is applied. This once a gain locks in the color and helps the lipstick to stick to the lips. Matte lipsticks seem to last longer than shimmer ones but the matte does dry out the lips so keep a lip-gloss or moisturizer] on hand. Although if you choose a lipstick color closer to the color of your natural lips then the lipstick won't dry out the lips so bad. Some everyday things that can help to make your lipstick last longer are; don't lick your lips, don't chew on your lips, and the less kissing you do the more the lipstick will stay on. Each time you lick or chew on your lips you are taking off some lipstick, and it won't last very long. Check your lipstick after meals if you want a fresh look and feel. Don't give up on making your lipstick last longer. It doesn't have to fade before your date. You can buy long lasting lipstick. You can use lip liner and foundation and powder to help keep in the color. Buy matte lipstick and apply a thin layer, or apply two for double measure. Use them all and don't worry about applying it all day, but do check it after you eat, just in case some came off.

| Hi lahy15, For tanned/dark skin try shades mahogany, deep plums, wine reds, almost any shade of brown, rich, dark, coffee browns flatter the skin. Avoid orange undertones in lipsticks Tanned skin is flattered most by a variety of true pinks. Hope this helps.

| Hi Bhargavi, The foundation to be applied on lips is the regulr one we use for our faces. There is no special foundation for lips. There are plenty of types available in the market. The most common ones are: [quote=BhargaviChakravarthy;203001]Dear daffodil, Really ur tips on using lipstick are worthy.Generally we do not care much abt lips.really grt.Keep up. Abt applying foundation ru saying the general foundation. Is there any specific foundation available for applying on lips. Secondly what is liquid foundation and powder foundation. Are they available on the market? Mousse or whipped foundation is easier to apply in thin layers than liquid makeup, so you have more control. Mousse makeup is liquid makeup with air whipped in, making it lighter and smoother. It comes in a spray or aerosol-type can, like whipped cream. It costs more than other cosmetics because you're paying for the added air and specialized packaging, but if you've ever spread whipped butter on a hot piece of toast, you know the difference is vast. Whipped foundation is good for all skin types, but it's especially nice for those with dry or aging skin because of its tendency to go on smoothly instead of caking up in facial lines eg. Avon or Maybelline Dream Matt mousse Liquid Foundation Many women like liquid foundation best because it applies so smoothly and is easily found at your local drugstore. You can enhance the smoothness by putting it on with a slightly damp makeup sponge. Liquid makeup is good around the eyes, where you may want a bit more coverage; you can put it on with a small lip brush for the best control. You'll often see liquid makeup in waterproof or smudgeproof or even 24 hour versions. But these specialized cremes contain oils and waxy ingredients, causing some sensitive wearers slight skin irritation. If you start having problems with breakouts when wearing waterproof makeup, switch to a non-waterproof type and see if it helps. With more people becoming aware of the importance of skin care to their overall health, companies are creating foundations made with organic ingredients such as essential oils, vegetable oils and minerals instead of chemical dyes. eg Lakme, Revlon, Maybelline, Covergirl. Cream-to-Powder Foundation One of the most interesting and popular foundation options is cream-to-powder foundation, made by companies of good reputation, like L'Oreal. It goes on as a liquid, but dries to a powder finish that minimizes oil and lasts all day. You'll find cream to powder makeup in compacts that look like powder (which may make you wonder why it isn't called powder to cream to powder makeup), or in tubes or bottles. The big draw is its easy application and the fact that you don't have to put on powder for full coverage. Concealer Concealer is thickened, even tinted to correct color for particular areas—undereye smudges, pimples or redness, for example. It's thick and comes in compacts or cover sticks
