Hi thank u so much for the info..i too live in charlotte..let me have a look in walmart also.can u please tell me the name of the plant u got?i am looking for the mysore mulli.. Thanks
If you are in Charlotte NC, I believe Walmart in Arboretum Mall is carrying them right now. They have Mysore Malli , the plant you are looking for.
I was looking for jasmine as well. thank you for the info. I always heard from people that the plant is available in walmart, but never found it in my area I will try in toptropicals. It is on back order right now.
hi svs i went to arboretum wal mart today.i saw a jasmine plant which has a name 'sweet fragrance jasmine'.is that what u told me to get?.i couldn't see any buds or flowers there in the plant.so i was not sure ..Also that was the only variety seen.can u please tell me the name if u know Thanks
Pappu, I am guessing that you know the plant leaf shape and color. I believe you will have to look through the stack they have for jasmines and pick the right one. There are two varieties I was told. One is what we call sannajaaji and the other is the Jasminium sambac. My friend who picked the plants mentioned that there were only two plants of Jasminium Sambac remaining on the stand. If you dont find them dont worry and dont loose heart, the Walmart on Tryon, close to Yorkmount Farmers market always carries them in the month of June/July. since I go thre quite often, I will make sure I check them out and let you know.
thank you for this info, I'd love to grow plants in this beautiful climate, compared to snow in NE where I come from.
