Default Bramhakamala

hi Ladies,

I'm Manju, just joined in today, totally new to this site.
while i still need to go through this site i'm exited to share some photos of BramhaKamala - an auspiocious flower. This was taken at my house on 20th of june.
this is the first time the flowers bloomed since we planted. it seems this flower bloom only once in a year,...it is so beautiful that i don;t have words to explain. see the attached photographs.

Dear Manju,

First of all welcome to IL. You will surely enjoy your time spent here. also participate in the discussions on various forum here.

I too have the auspicious Bramhkamala plant at home in Mangalore, which blooms now and then. It is also called Nishagandhi, as it blooms in the midnight. a real beautiful flower.

Thank you for sharing the flower photo. Really so beautiful. And you are lucky. Are both the flowers the same ? The second looks remarkable.
Do they have any smell? How frequent do they bloom

Can u breif us about this Flower...? Like when did u plant it ? and Does it have any smell . Is it easily available etc etc... it would be quite useful for so amny garden lovers over here.

Manju,

I heard that the bloom lasts only for one night. It starts to open slowly after sunset and is in full bloom during mid-night.
