No I have not used this.. Being in Chennai should not be too difficult to get the ingredients..
The greenlands people seem cooperative too..
Hope this has helped!

Hi AC,

thanks for all the input....just got hooked to the idea of panchagavya as charu loves roses... heard roses thrive well on this...

You think enduring to get t he cow urine and all is easy.....no dear....
not even for charu..

So relying on green-lands..will be placing order with them....after ofcourse checking with my local lady.

Dear Shanthi
Very nice to hear about this.. let us know how it is.
I was thinking of you and Charu today when I planted some roses.. Actually Roses are relatively easy to grow.
Do post some pictures when you find time:)

hi Ac,

Right now the climate is still too hot. Since it is on the roof..under direct sunlight. have to find a green cover for it...thinking on those lines...let me see how far i can do that.

Will post pictures. Right now white, pink hibiscus are in full bloom in good numbers.

Hi Royan / Shanthi:

Had not heard of Panchgavya before (nice to learn something new everyday!) but I do remember my aunt and grandfather using cowdung as fertilizer for flowering plants.

AC:

That literature on Panchgavya was quite informative and interesting. Vrikshayurveda seems to be very interesting - that goes on the list of books from India on the next visit:) Thanks for posting.

Hi Shanthi:

Maybe you should try putting up shade nets or plastic sheets over the plants (l remember you having made a mention in one of your gardening posts). That could work while you order Panchgavya. Just my opinion:)
