What is the actual name of money plant? Does anybody know?

Hi there,

Its called Pothos in US, but again u have large variety in this. Most commonly available one is Golden Pothos which has dark green leaves with yellow patches on it.

nice discussion when we go there it is so nice to get the right plant, even here once i had been to nursery asking for gondo raj which is thename in kolkata but after a lot of explanation he showed me the plant and told me it is giardini, pll and so had to learn ok so that is it...sunkan

hi friends,

now that u all talking about money plant, it is the only thing going on in my mind these days .....as the picture above looks so wonderful, even my plant was huge with big leaves when i brought ......for some time it was the same wonderfully growing ...but slwoly it slowed growing and now it is just surviving i can say ......i changed the mud on last thursday ,but i dont find any change in the plant ....

can any one plsssssssss give me some tips to save my money plant

Hi Shashi:

Very little can go wrong in growing a money plant, so don't worry. Did you check the holes at the bottom of the pot? While changing the soil do you remember seeing roots out of the holes - maybe it needs a bigger pot. Though money plant will grow in shade, try keeping the plant in bright indirect light (not direct sunlight) and water it only when the soil surface feels dry. Also, money plants like humidity, so mist the plant with water every once in a while.
