    Sisters,

By Baba's grace, one coconut has sprout out to grow as a plant on its own, we want to grow in earthen pot for 6 - 8 weeks at the balcony of our apartment before we place it on the ground.

Please guide me with basic details of plant growing ( I have actually no clue except some common sense)

    1. Any specific sand / mud to use

    2. Best place to keep the pot, (should it be in shade or can be inside a closed room with air and water)

    3. Do we need to water daily at the early stages (some comments heard is that very less water is enough as it has just commenced sprouting - no leaves as yet)

    4. Any other details ...

    Thanks in advance, SAIRAM

I dont know much about planting a coconut tree in a pot.
But, in my native place-Kerala we keep the coconut in the river sand to sprout till they get leaves , not too deep may be half of the coconut just to get the roots covered in the sand and it will help them not getting dry in the sun, and very less water is needed at this stage.

All the best for gardening. Do post the updates of its growth.
