Need help with potted rose

    My hubby bought me a potted rose a few days back. I've always thought of roses as temperamental plants.. Is it true?

    I don't have a garden and I don't have much experience in looking after roses. My mother was always one for orchids, so I know bits and bites about orchids.. but nothing about roses.. Please help!

    So far all I'd been doing was watering them every morning and evening.. And a light overhead shower too, with a spray bottle...
    Where I live, the summer is just starting out and it's pretty hot out.. Low humidity too.. I've kept the rose in a shaded area of my garden because I was worried it would wilt under the hot sun..

    I think you are watering way too much, specially if its already in the shaded area. I would say just water it once a day and keep it in indirect sun light. Actually, you can afford to keep it in direct sunlight too; rose plants are pretty hardy.
