Dear Lakshmi,

Today, I made a point to see your garden through the lovely pics you have posted here. You seem to be another of our garden enthusiast with green fingers. If you keep tempting us this way with your pictures, we IL'tes may land up in your yard for summer outings from now on...beware !!! :))

Dear Kamla,
you have aptly described the flowers. The plant is on the right side of our entrance as one enters and it looks as if welcoming. Everyday morning at 6.40 or so I go down to wait with Aravindh for his van. I enjoy watching these then along with the pavizhamalli flowers scattered on the ground on the other side.
There is an article in the deepavali Malar of Vikatan about lady in Chennai who has a large kitchen garden with paddy, maize, banana, coconut tree and an assortment of vegetables and hold your breath- a grape vine which gives fruits regularly. Just imagine grapes in Chennai weather. I just was wonder struck at the lady's hardwork.

Yes shanthi,

I think they call it as button rose. It is 'pale pink' in colour and without any smell. I am having one red rose also. It is also started flowering. My Methi plant also grown well and yesterday and today we prepared 'methi parota' with that fresh fresh methi leaves. We felt the parotas are so tastey because of so fresh. Krishna was so happy to see the growing plants. This is new to him to watch growing leaves and buds.

Hi krishnamma,

It is always nice when it is from our own garden. i can imagine the satisfaction.

I now have some ponnaganni, mint, and tomatoes..growing..so may be on sunday..the kids will pluck....they are enjoying.....

I brought a white and yellow. white survived..and they have more buds then the other roses..
