| Hi there....... I think luckey bamboo is a plant which does not require much watering if grown in soil. If you have you bamboo plants in a pot only with gravels then just add water in plenty and even you don't have to add water for a total one month. In this case, u have to change the water once a month.......... I do this way and my plants are still looking beautiful and fine. Also, don't expose the plants to direct sunlight, it may be bad for the plants and in fact these plants do not require much sunlight, even putting the plant on window seal may work. It is also require to fertilise the plants once in 4 months ......... Hope this may help you. Thank you and take care..............

How much does it grow? Will it grow real tall like the real bamboo shoots? |

| Hi Sunitha, Lucky bamboo, according to Chinese Fen Shui, will bring prosperity, fortune and happiness to whoever has them. I bought this bamboo plant (look at the pic) 1 year ago. It was so small, when i bought it. It's growing, but will not grow like bamboo shoots which is planted on the ground. Wish your lucky bamboo brings you and your family lot of prosperity, fortune and happiness. regards, Sindhu

| Thanks Sindhuja for helping me out. Mine is a straight shoot about a feet long now,not the curly type like you have. I am still hunting for a good vase to keep it in. Will just a good tall vase with some pebbles and water do for this? |
