hello Ac,

Devon Avenue is a place in Chicago where you get all Indian and Pakistani stuff. From food,clothes,jewels,pooja items and other accessories, you get everything here :)

Also if you are looking to buy idols online, i found indiangiftsportaldotcom relatively better than the other sites. Since i'am a new member i'am not sure if i can post URL's.i hope the site name which i have provided is readable.

I know we have to keep kumbam if we keep golu.. i was wondering if we would get a cocnut with kudumi here in US... and if not is there any other alternative to it???

Many people do keep artificial ones itseems
I get coconut where i live so keep it.

Not big kudumi lets say small or better still let me say I can see it

While you use plastic flowers, fix them on the wall using cello tape.

For making garden put the sand on a plastic sheet and do; so that it will be easy for you to clean the park after the golu.

You can mix black ink with sand and use it to make roads.

You can keep candles or small lamps near golu. It will give extra attraction to golu.

You can use tooth pick or match sticks as fence. Just combain tooth picks like flower garland ( poo kattu vadhu poala kattungal) then keep them in the sand. That is all your fence is ready. ( This I have already told )
