That is the way to look at the Dawn of a New Year!
It is, as you rightly point out, a time for introspection rather than expectation! At Chennai, the New Year has started with a heavy thunder shower. Hope it is symbolic of the bounty that the Lord will keep showering on us!
Through this post, I wish all our members a very happy and prosperous Sarvajith!

Puthandu Vaazhthukkal!

It was an amazing collection of slokas and info for Sarvajith Puthandu. As usual, you took me back memory lane. Every New Year we used to celebrate in Swamimalai back in childhood, and I remember my brother and I reading out the various year names for the steps and climbing up to see our Dear Lord Swaminathan and chanting "Paadi Madi Nadi".

Just set up the Vishu Kani in the Puja Room and logged to IL.
