Dear Chitra maami,

I have taken the liberty to address you thus, looking at the mammoth effort that you have put in making this site as a one-stop reference for all queries, advice and suggestions on hindu culture, festivals etc.

I have been asking my dear-most mother to write down all these stuff for me to follow in future... when she may not be around to guide me... Now I feel I need not worry since your valuable contributions are here to guide me....

I know I may have hardly read only 5 % of what you have made available for all of us here.. but I am sure I would definitely be coming here to refer to your write-ups for any queries I will have in future....

A sincere to you!

Thanks & Regards

Dear Srimathi,
Thanks.
My sincere wish is that there is so much of beauty in our tradition which should not die down gradually.
It is up to your generation to keep it alive !
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Vase,
Thanks for your nice words.
Along with others who contribute in this site, I am very particular that IL should be a one-stop site for any reference on our cultre or tradition !
When youngsters like you are so interested, I cannot ask for anything more.
Love,
Chithra.

dear Chitvish maam,i recently had a baby girl and we had these functions that is seemantam and namakaranam function performed here in Melbourne.I very much wanted to know more about these functions but am unable to do so as i cannot read the tamil script.Have you posted the same in english?I envy those who have read the tamil version and given their valuable comments. From their posts i can see that you have posted even the minutest details.
If im not asking for too much and if time permits can you please let me know the significance of these functions?

Dear Nisha,
Thanks for your nice words.
My earnest desire is,we should all know what our customs and traditions are for various functions. It is upto the individual to follow it or not.
