Hi,

This Diwali is very special for me, since it is my first diwali in India after marriage. Planning to do diwali pooja, given by chitra madam, make some sweets, and savories, wear new clothes and enjoy a lot with family and friends.

Regards,
Yamuna.

Dear All,

Already started with the diwali cleaning.

I am planning to decorate the house with a few thalis with candles and rangoli on them. Already went shopping for the candles but couldn't find any.

Planning to make besan ladoos, sevai kheer ( I don't like rice kheer), gujia and a small chocolate cake.
For dinner I am thinking about aloo paratha, khadi, pumpkin, bhaigan, beans and some more veggies. And ofcourse hot steaming basmati rice.

hi all,

im excited to hear your diwali plans. Cleaning.....that reminds me even i hv to do that!!
I miss my mom and sis back in India where they would have lots of fun,In US, diwali is not fun at all without crackers, its just like any other festival but still a blessing to be with family.
Im planning to decorate my patio and some part of the house with a candle and alternatively a flower (colorful) so that it looks like a pattern and have lots of my kids pics clicked.I shall hv the glow lights hanging in the patio starting from diwali and will go on upto new year since my kids want them to be there for the halloween, thanksgiving and christmas as well.
Though i dont have a sweet tooth, i still hv to make a sweet as its an occasion...so planning for khubani ka meetha (hyd delicacy)
