Default Anecdots from greatmen's life

Anecdots from greatmen’s life

Sir C.V.Raman was working as the Assistant Accountant General, Rangoon, the Accountant General was an Englishman noted for colonial arrogance.
Once Raman commented adversely on some decision of the Accountant General. The enraged Englishman picked upon the papers, stormed into Raman’s room, and waving the file at his face, pointed to the red ink bottle on the table and said,”Mr Raman, if I point to this red ink bottle and say,’ I am sure this is black ink,’ your duty is to say,” yes sir, it is black.”
Keeping his cool, Raman replied,” if you did that, my duty would be to say,’sir, you or either blind or mad or both.”
[Taken from letters to editor, The Hindu, pricking at the present IAS and IPS officers who are prostrating before the political masters]
Hope that you all will agree with the writer of this letter.
? Regards,
Pushpavalli
