| Each of those rules, laws and maxims, is painfully true. May be when it happened you were bothered. Now when you think of it you just smile. Of the lot I love Bells Theorem and Breda's rule. And you can add one more rule: When you come back to your locked house and you hear the telephone ringing, the universal rule is that it will continue to ring till you rush out of the car, open the door and go a foot near the instrument. Then it will abruptly stop. There is a full book on Murphy's Law and all these maxims arise from the original murphy's law which says "If anything can go wrong, it will" A very good post, a very humorous one, Meena. sridhar |
