Default Nice Collections

Dear Chitra,

Nice collections as usual. This time most of them are unheard for me ! Giving the list of one's that I enjoyed.

2 - ஓட்டி ஓட்டி மிளகு அரைக்கப் பாட்டி வந்தாளாம்;
- Is this not the typical Scenario in most of our today's IT Company ?? I shall relate this "Patti" to developers and "Kutty" to Managers.

One sheath cannot hold two knives.
- Heard of this one. Is this in the context of deciding whose the boss of the house - Man or Woman ?

Even a cracked bell will make a sound.
- Can you tell me in what context this proverb is used?

Opportunity comes, when you decide to leave.
- Very True Chitra, those that we desire when in need we never get. When we give up on our dreams and choose a different path, all that we desire fall into our lap. Vithiyin Vilaiyaatu....!

Young enough to take on challenges
- This paruvam could only be Adoloscence/Teenage ! At what other age can one dare to do challenges/risk.

It was interesting to read the other proverbs listed. Great posting this time.

Love,
Preethi

Dear Preethi,
I cannot thank you enough for the prompt FB.

In the case of 2 bosses - it can mean, no: 1 can be held by only one person.

Even a cracked bell will make a sound, can mean

I like the way, you analyse the proverbs in detail, Preethi !
Love,
Chithra.

Dear Chithra,
This set is completely new to me. It is very inteesting and some are naughty also. Just enjoyed them very much.
My late siter used to say this provrb always;
As I successfully installed the unicode software, I could write in Tamil, thank God.
There is a proverb in Kannada-
It means that to catch a mouse one digged the mountain, that is apt to my installing the unicode.

My dear Varloo,
Remember, you have digged a treasure by installing uni code. I just love it, when I type in tamil.
Thankyou for the F B.
I first wrote the roverb, you have sent - since I could not effectively convey the meaning, I deleted it ! I am glad you wrote that oft-quoted proverb!
Love,
Chithra.

ஓடிப்போனவனுக்கு ஒன்பதாம் இடத்தில் ராஜா;

My dear Sudha,
Thankyou very much for the F b.
Now a days, I think, I type faster in tamil than in english. It it not a matter of getting used to what you love ?
