Default Proverbial Tamil Proverbs - Part 3

Dear All,
I am very happy that you are all enjoying the proverbs very much - the no: of views say it all. This week, I am posting proverbs beginning with " இ".
In translation, the beauty is lost to a certain extent, there is no denying it !

A man shows his different facets in different places.

Don't you know what ginger is ?
It is sour like jaggery !

Walking in very delicate steps

All the seeds you plant may not grow healthy
All your children may not prove worthy

You must help a person who has helped you
You must cry for one who is dead

This is a naughty proverb! A woman remains chaste for want of an opportunity !

7 - இடம் இராத இடத்தில் அகமுடையானை பெற்றவள் வந்தாளாம்;

Already the house is very small; MIL has come; not only that, husband's aunt has also come.

Misfortune befalls a poor man!

The one who "pounds" can do it mechanically, thinking of something else. The same is the case with a drunkard.

An umbrella does not serve the purpose when there is thunder.

The ladies who do the work, each, get only one share
The lady who casually dropped in got double the share

If the spouse is serving food, you will definitely get your share !

If there is money in your pocket, you can be sharp with your words.

This is too naughty to translate !!!!

The lady who is the first time mother, advises a lady who is already a mother.

This is yet another naughty one ! ( a woman says) How can I say no to an elderly man when he seeks me !

There are so many women - but my son has no mother.
You can interpret it in many ways.

This lady just went - delivered at once ( effortlessly)

A borrowed object, dress of a poor woman, the husband of a loose woman - all these will never come to your rescue.

Que sera sera, whatever will be, will be.

There are many proverbs beginning with " இ", but I am posting the less common ones.

love & regards,
Chithra.

Default good to read !

Dear Chith ,
Ur proverbs part -3 is really good & nice to read ! While u r giving such funny ( mostly naughty ! ) proverbs , my dear Sudha has very innocently given a divine proverb " kadavulai nambinor kaividappadaar " ! Of course along with all ur proverbs i liked hers too since it is a plain fact !
By the way , 14 th one ..... can u explain please .......!?
With admiration ,
Indhu .
