Ladies...I got this email fwd today and was wondering if its true or hoax? Has anyone heard anything about this? Regards, Sihi Last night a woman died with a snake bite while shopping at Subzi mandi on Oak Tree road Edison . She reached into a box of Okra set aside to find fresh ones and had some bite which made her feel uneasy and sat in her car. She was dead spitting bubbles by the time her husband went back to the car and hospital confirmed that she was dead due to snake bite. So, everyone please be very careful while shopping for Indian groceries as this may happen anywhere due to the lapse in any inspection of the boxes. Definitely we should avoid taking kids into these grocery stores as they tend to check in to lot of stuff out there. Please pass on this information to all the people you may know.
hi all, yeah i too heard abt this through my relatives. but its too scary :hide: so i thought of wearing gloves while shopping which may help..
dunno how true this is, but sounds scary enough.... so far i've never shopped in oak tree subzi mandi as its way too crowded, esp on weekends... but we've got to be careful anyway... as most indian stores are small, too much stuff packed onto a small place, and have narrow crowded aisles...
That is really very scary I hope I never experience this. Just once I had bought a sugar bag from wal-mart and while making a chai I was putting sugar in cup and I see a white flat worm in the sugar,it was so gross. I guess we just have to be careful where ever we buy.
its HOAX ofcourse. Heard this tale for a long time now, like it happened in canada, sfo, etc I agree its all crowded and all, but to be frank, the owners aint that stupid to have such things wandering by. they will be sued homeless if that happens.. so I bet they will be cautious...
