Priya !! That's what came to my mind when I read your post ! Absolutely authentic...we do need "Sisters" (who are loyal) to walk beside us at every part of life. We need someone who calls "Spade a spade" without flattering words. At the same time, we need the positive support when we are about to fall. As for me, it's been my mom from the begining till now...she is the one I share everything with....somehow that makes my happiness increase and sorrows decrease. Of course, there are my friends too and now..Indus ladies..!! A beautiful write up !! Cheers Krithika |

| Hi priya, Awesome post. Its a known and true fact. We know the value of something when it is not there. Likewise I too know the value of having a sister cos I don't have one. No regrets. All my cousins treat me like their own sister and I really feel happy about it. Mainly we share our happy and sorrow moments with our sisters. Now we have our sisters whom we meet online and share whatever that comes to our mind, in the name of Indus Ladies. Thanks to you for giving me an opportunity to share my thoughts. |

| Currently there is serial titled Sujata aired on one of the channels....this very much relates to what you have to say. It is true that a woman only can understand what the other woman goes thru or needs...hence having a true sister helps you sail through life. |

| Dear Priya, That was a fantastic write up I am rather unlucky in that sphere because I do not have a sister in the true sense that a sister would share the same set of parents.I have a number of cousins and extended family sisters and ofcourse two very very close friends who could have been my sisters in the true sense. Anyway I wish I could show your piece to the cynic who proclaimed that " A Woman is a woman's own worst enemy !" There are quite a few cynics who scorn this beautiful idea of feminine bonding as you've revealed in your write up.It was such a refreshing read. I'm going to call my closest friend now after logging off. warm regards PAULINA ![]() |

| Hi, First I thought I should stay out of this post… But my emotions ruled over my best judgement … Though what you have written is a beautiful situation… I have a friend, who is blessed with half a dozen sisters… She married a guy of her own choice… Either they should support her or fought it out with her… But they left her all alone… till date no contacts… They have not even bothered to know whether she is alive or not… They have not even informed her mothers death… This is sisters… I know, the sisters jelousy… I have seen that amongst some of my friends… I agree with you that we must gain some quality friends… Friends come a long way… At the end of the day… It all depends on how lucky you ar to get some good friends or sisters… Veda

| hi priya, nice write up. sure enough sisters (here girl friends, cousins etc) truly stand by you at all times good or bad. I don't have sisters of my own but i d have some really good friends . Vyasan, Bad examples are there in all cases, even in mothers and fathers and it sure might hold for sisters too. But that is just exception to the rule. regards, uma |
