Default heights of dedication - delivery in office....

got this one today from a friend....
i dont know which company, but this woman was working in office and decided to deliver while still at work...triplets at that...
dedication and work ethics are appreciated, but do people need to take it to this level....
wonder why the seniors in the office didnt insist on getting her to a hospital....

Hyderabad – In one of the most impressive displays of multitasking ever recorded, Senior Marketing Director Neha Lakhra, had a big day at the office this week. She picked up ‘Employee of the Month’ honours, when she surprised her co-workers by delivering 3 beautiful, healthy children, and the marketing reports by 5pm.
“I knew the marketing reports were due by 5, and I knew the babies were due any minute, so I just propped my lap top on my belly, put my legs up on my desk, and took care of business,” stated an out of breath Neha. “I just hope I didn’t make any mistakes on the reports, my boss doesn’t tolerate sloppy reports,” concluded Neha as the doctor handed her perfect little babies.
Currently, a cleaning crew is doing their best to take care of the mess created by this heroic display of commitment to deadlines, and Neha’s co-workers will most likely need months of therapy to remove the images and screams that have been burned into their
memory, but you have to applaud her for her dedication.
“Well, to be honest, it would have been fine if she just got me the reports tomorrow. And it would have been a lot better for everyone if she had gone to the hospital. But I love her dedication to the company. You can’t teach that kind of work ethic,” Neha’s manager declared as he hung her ‘Employee of the Month’ certificate over the office coffee maker.

My disgust goes out to people in concern- Lousy people rewarding Lousy thinking.

If I was CEO of the company. I would fire such idiot employees. If you think company cannot do without you, than its you who is fooled most.

I can never appluad such idiosyncracies.
Weired , I would seriously recommend counselling and therapy to the mad woman involved.
Ria

I agree...this is gross :bullshit.
I have seen people who act as if the company runs only coz of them.
But this is the heights and must not be encouraged at all.

Dear Sowpar,

My first reaction was eeekhs!! How could people put others through this. Its really the height of insanity. She actually brought those poor infants into the world in a manner which could have spelt serious trouble. Infact her boss should fire her asap before she tries some other stunt her at the discomfort of others!
You know at this point I am just worried that if there is a Neha, the poor kids would definitely have a tough time with a Mom whos married to a job and is almost obsessed with it.
Well where I live ,I have seen women talking about Maternity leave while awaiting results of the pregnancy. So this whole episode is truly a different reading experience.
All for that certificate on the coffee maker??

Love,
Devika

ya chechi,
exactly my thought too...
pregnancy and childbirth are something that most of us yearn for and look forward to,but to take it with such a frivolous attitude...really beats me...
what kind of parents would such people make....who give more importance to some reports and excel sheets over the most important moments in their and the kids's life....
hmmm...and to think this supposedly happened in our very own Hyderabad....

Hi ,
I agree with all of you.
I've seen these kind of ridiculous things twice ....
First time was when I was at college, my marketing professor was carrying. She was taking extra classes in the evening one day to finish her lessons. We finished our classes by 5.30 pm, she had delivered by 11 pm that night.
Second time invovled a college of mine. I was at the washroom one day to find my collegue gasping for breadth.
The next day, I heard, she had delivered here baby....
I really could not understand , why these women wanted to do such stunts?????
