![]() The word soul is very fascinating to me. To my understanding we meditate to find or experience our soul , then practice to merge our souls into God, that is nothingness or the light that is spread all over the Universe. To my understanding that’s what happens once the soul leaves this body. ( Help me if I am wrong ) Soul has no gender. It is always free , does not have any companions or mates hence it merges into nothingness or light! The mates, the friends the companions are all to this physical body which enjoys all the emotional relationships and until we find our selves free of all these relationships we can not experience the realization of our soul . This is what my understanding is. When we come across the soul mate theory I am always confused.. Previously there were discussions about the soul mates and multiple soul mates in our blogs. We have discussions about the soul mates in my blog Is it possible to have multiple soul mates Still whenever I come across a poem , a blog about soul mate that triggers me to think about the soul mate theory . Then again my search to know more starts all over again. If we experience that a person is our soul mate or if our soul finds its mate then both the souls must be above the worldly emotions and should never feel lonely. In one of my blogs Rudra said It has to do with our energetic constitution and how someone else can augment or dampen it. It is also possible for that energetic compatibility to diminish as either person (or both) change energetically. Our energy is in a constant flux, as a result of our mental and physical states. When I think on these lines , I wonder that it is possible to find a soul mate and to loose them too. So the question is if our soul finds the soul mate, then both the souls are mates for ever . Or only for some time? We experience emotional bonding with some people as soon as we meet them in life for the first time or many times in this virtual world. What are the reasons for this emotional attachment? Can we say that people with whom we experience this connection are our soul mates? We believe that the soul has no gender . It comes into this world all alone and leaves the world without any companion. If that is so what is the purpose of the soul mate. Is the soul really needs a mate? Hope all of you share your thoughts on this. Indu BROUGHT TO YOU BY SUNKAN

| Hi, Good Discussion, I am not sure about what a soul means, in simple terms, I thought soul was our innate goodness or godliness energy present in every one of us.Soul mate is a person, with whom you have a feeling of oneness, with whom we connect on all levels, why we feel that way is whole another discussion. Can I see a connection between soul and soulmate, don't know. If soul is something that was described in the post,we should not diffrenciate between people, the soul should be abe to look everyone in the same light. But what prompted me to write were the following lines : The mates, the friends the companions are all to this physical body which enjoys all the emotional relationships and until we find our selves free of all these relationships we can not experience the realization of our soul . I think one can realise the soul, only through relationship. Our life is empty, without relationship, emotional or carefree. These our my humble thoughts. Nivedha. |
