the cacti bloom to share....

bangalore is having proper share of its premonsoon....my cacti in bloom wanted to share with u all as it is a rare beauty...not to be missed during this time.the bloom is actually light shanbhaga colour...orange and yellow mixed...sunkan

That was a nice picture...how long did it take for the cacti to give a flower..just curious...was thinking whether I can grow some too!!

that was a beautiful bloom.
when young, I had a neighbour who used to have so many cacti at home.
we used to be scared of the little thorns but the flowers were soooo beautiful & the colours used to be sooooooo bright & unique.
is it difficult to grow them at home????

this cacti been with me for more than 10yrs but bloomed only now after shifting to the backside terrace where the morning sun comes over it...they say we need to keep cacti on the west side but never got any blooms there...no i dont think we have problem taking care of them only watering once a week with pebbles and charcoal and sand for the base then u plant it so that they stay together.....in 97 all my cacti bloomed may be the atmosphere and so on....regards sunkan
