man in southern India married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony as an attempt to atone for stoning two other dogs to death — an act he believes cursed him — a newspaper reported Tuesday. P. Selvakumar married the sari-draped former stray named Selvi, chosen by family members and then bathed and clothed for the ceremony Sunday at a Hindu temple in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, the Hindustan Times newspaper said. Selvakumar, 33, told the paper he had been suffering since he stoned two dogs to death and hung their bodies from a tree 15 years ago.

s, i saw this in TV news,that fellow lost his 2 legs,means paralaysed,unable to walk. he deserves for what he did.

I am thinking on the social implications and other issues surrounding his decision.

1, How's anyone going to invite him to a family function. You must come with your wife (opppssss?)

2, I hope he is not going to expect the food to be ready when he come home in the night. Honey what's for dinner... bbrrrrrrnnnnnn... there u go.

3, I hope he is not planning to migrate. UK, Australia doesn't accept dogs as spouse.

4, His he planning on a family? I'm sure the dog doesn't know abt it.

5, What will he write in the Ration Card?

Jokes apart, this is bad. this guy have runied his life and now the dogs (i mean selvi's life as well)

Poor dog, she was happy eating different meals a day, hanging around with her friends, boy friend etc.. and this guy has spoiled the normal life of an animal. These guys get into my nerves.

If he really wanted to remorse for his actions, he can go and work in a zoo or home for aged etc.

Dear punitha,I am not contradicting you,but only trying to post what i read somewhere.
What I read was that aishwarya had married a tree (plantain tree if i remember well) coz she was a manglik and she would have brought bad luck to her current husband abhishek.
But really girls if former miss world can take such BS from in laws in the name of culture and custom,no wonder we normal dil s have to suffer so much.:bullshit
