Apni Zameen Ki Khushbhu

*Shri G.L. Kaul retired as an Information officer for the J&K State. He had also been editing Kashmir Today ( English) and Tameer (Urdu) both official magazines of Information Department. A avid theater activist and a poet. He has acted and directed many plays in Kashmiri, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. He is the founder member of J&K cultural academy and IPTA group. He has performed theater all over the country. Presently living with his son Sanjay in Massachusetts, USA.

Waah kya baat hai! likhnewale nay jaise rooh sey likha ho.

har mod par zakhm khati hai zindagi,
kabhie dard se karah uthati hai,
kabhie ansoo pee jaati hai,
har zakhm se kuch seekh jaati hai zindagi
kabhie har saans bojh lagti hai,
har aas tootne lagti hai,
ek veeran khandar sey yeh zindagi
amavaas ki kaali raat lagne lagti hai
inn haalatoin se jhoojhati hai yeh zindagi
yeh zakhm sah jaati hai zindagi
kabhie dard sey karah uthati hai
kabhie ansoo pee jaati hai
har mod par zakhm khaati hai zindagi
har zakhm sey kuch seekh jaati hai zindagi
kabhie apne saath nahin dete hain,
paraye bhi jeene nahin dete hain
bejaan see iss zindagi ka bojh bhi uthane nahin dete hain
inn haalatoin sey jhoojhati hai yeh zindagi
yeh zakhm seh jaati hai zindagi
kabhie dard sey karah uthati hai,
kabhie ansoo pee jaati hai
har mod par zakhm khaati hai zindagi
har zakhm sey kuch seekh jaati hai zindagi

Dancing is a passion with her and writing poetry is her second love. She loves listening to and singing variety of light and light classical music. She had also written a literary piece on environment (DHARTI KAL AAJ AUR KAL), which was staged as a dance ballet at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
