these pictures bring back the memories when my grand-father was there working as a Principal in the Physical Education College in Kashmir and our family went there for a summer vacation during my school years.

Hi Manju,
Thanks for posting these pictures of Dal Lake. They bring back fond memories of the vacation we took there in October 1986 - a time before terrorism!
I was around 7 then. I still remember the flowers we brought from the young girl in a shikhara on Dal Lake. And the trips to GulMarg and Pehelgaon. The improptu dip in the icy cold lidder river at Pehelgaon - hmm memories!!!
