This moth we are touching on the most sensitive forum and a less popular one with a view to call for informative threads.

Decision to adopt a child involves a different perspective and broader outlook. Are we aware of the procedures involved in Adopting a child? Can a single Parent adopt a child? Well the topics for discussion is just endless so go ahead and start a very informative thread that throws light on this delicate issue. But deep down let us all remember that

Every child deserves a home and love.

Some do's and don'ts to be followed for this contest:

DOs:

1. Make your contributions for this contest ONLY in the Adoption forum here.
2. ONLY new threads started this month – August 2009 that get popular with maximum responses and participation from other members will be considered.
3. Avoid threads on common discussions like "Adoption procedures", "advice on adoption" etc. Those threads on generic discussions will not be considered as we are expecting better discussions here.
4. The threads should be started about Adoption so that it will call for participation from co-members to share thoughts about the same.

DON'Ts:

1. No posting (copy-pasting) articles or information from other sources (like websites, books, magazines, emails etc.).
2.Please ensure that no hurting others sentiments.

yes the posting is in the correct forum. Please go ahead and discuss the nuances
of adopting a child and the emotional preparations that you and your hubby went through before deciding on adoption and make the thread informative so that it is a guide for other ILites who are sailing in the same boat.

Once I was casually talking to my friend about my family problems.I was so much upset.Iwas not able to control myself as there was no one to share my feelings. I lost my husband who was very dear and near to me .We were very much attached to each other and his sudden and untimely death was a shock to me. At that time my told about Indus Ladies and I thought I will browse and know about your site.I will really continue to be in touch with you and share my happiness and sorrow.

First of all my sincere condolence to the loss of your other half, I am really sorry to hear that. Thank you for your post. We all feel the worries we go through is the worst in the world, but we listen or hear another persons worries makes us feel or THANK GOD for wherever we are at the present moment. My words would not be enough to heal your loss but I am sure that your visit to this site and participation will definitely, 101% give you a chance to re-start and divert your mind state. Take care..

Dear Indusladies,
Adoption : it is giving life to a child who has been thrown into a dustbin or discarded for no fault of the youngone. Many believe that it is a crime to bring up a child which is an unknown gene.But a child when it is born it is one and the same whether it comes from a royal family or a poor.
Afriend of mine who was childless for 18 years adopted a baby boy. Her father in law was so broad minded forced the couples to adopt a child .The child was adopted in the third month. The family members accepted the child as their own and they never thought it was an adopted one.the child brought happiness in the family and the parents enjoyed day to day movement of the child.Now the parents are proud that they have given a life and also they got a status as mother and father.Now the child is 21 years old and till today he doesn't know that he has been adopted as the parents don't wanted to reveal the secret.
The best part of it is the child resembles his adopted mother no one will say he is not their child.The family feels that its A GOD given Gift.
So I feel that there is nothing wrong in adopting a child as it is not a sin on the otherhand it is a good deed and in the court of God the family will be blessed.I don't want to dis close the name of the person but it is really a family known to me.
