Rithi & others,

Thank you for bringing this user's act vkdjk to our attention. This kind of spamming via Private Messages is NOT allowed here.

If the offer is genuine, the user should be able to post complete details about the offer in the open forum.

We have warned the user regarding the same.

Nandshyam,

It is just not the question of adding the user to block list. We need to be informed to take action on spamming users.

Appreicate a PM to any of our admin/moderators when you receive such spam private messages.

PS: This thread will be removed shortly, since we have taken required action on the user.

Same thing happened with me. May be the hacker is sending mails in alphabetical order. BTW how did he/she get access to pm members without completing 50 posts?

Dear all,

Looks like it's a spam. Please ignore it. The user has been warned.

Selvi or Samayal,

Did you get the PMs dated today? Because we took action yesterday.

Originally this person was a junior IL'ite, on moderating many posts her status is now back to New IL'ite. She should not be able to send any PMs now.

If any of you receive PMs from this person vkdjk dated post July 9th, kindly let us know.

Dear All,

The below is the email I received from vkdjk who had recently private message-d many of you with the subject "work from home". She has explained her intent for doing the same and is upset for having considered as a spammer.

Dear vkdjk,

Thank you for taking the time to explain to us your intention of starting a thread and private messaging everyone about the work from home opportunity.

The following made your recent acts to be suspected as a spammer:

1. You weren't this explicit in explaining the opportunity that you had come across about work from home in the thread you started. Moreover, you added a referral link to some site.

Not sure whether you had a chance to read these guidelines we have posted in the work from home forum. If you had shared the information about the offer you came across with all details as listed in these guidelines, there would not have been any problem.

In spite of one our moderator posting a response in your thread pointing to these guidelines, you did not come forward to share more details.

2. You started private messaging everyone (may be those in the US) in the alphabetical order with a brief message and again a referral link to some site.

The above are acts that generally a spammer does. So obviously you were suspected to be a spammer.

You mentioned about not violating Forum Etiquette. I am afraid that I need to disagree with it. In our FE we have clearly mentioned about "no self-promotional posts" allowed here, unless they partner with us for a paid advertising.

By giving a referal link, you were trying to do a kind of self-promotion. Anything that helps you gain monetary benefits is a self-promotion and it cannot be done for free.

I've put so much time to write this response to you mainly because we do know you were a genuine member and were participating in various discussions in the past. That's the main reason I did not ban you from the site yesterday, though I repeatedly kept hearing from so many members about your PMs.

Bygones are bygones. Going forward, I would request you to put back this incident and keep participating in the general discussions here.

Please be assured, none here had an intention of hurting you or just like that wanted to suspect your authenticity. Nobody did that since you joined this community in May, right? It is unfortunate that your recent thread and PMs lead to that kind of suspicion.

I could have responded to your email in private. But I wanted to make yours as well as our stand clear to all. With that I am closing this thread.

Thank you. Hope to see you back!

Malathy

Hi Malathy/Induslady,

This is vkdjk in indusladies forum. I have been an active member with
indusladies since this May.

After having a baby...am glad to be a stay-at-home mom. My favourite pass time is
indusladies, which enabled me to connect with lot of Indian Ladies in US.

Though being at home is wonderful, I felt like I was idle. And I started doing
some work at home jobs. I started with ChaCha, a human powered search engine and I liked the job very much.

I thought, more at home ladies would be interested and hence I started a thread with details of the job, I even mentioned ChaCha.com on the thread I started. However the employer name was moderated on the thread.

I followed the forum etiquettes and gave all the details of job. I don't think I've ever violated the etiquettes.

I know 'Working from Home' forum in Indus Ladies is meant to help people,
and that's what I did. I'm neither promoting or advertising any business
nor spamming anyone.

I thought some of the ladies out there, would be interested to do a work at home job.
It took me a lot of time to find the legitimate and genuine ones, and my only intention
is to help people with the legitimate ones. I sent private messages to members at US,
thinking that some of them would be interested.

Again, I'm not a spammer. I'm very upset, with all of these and with some of the
members complaining about my authenticity. I never intend to hurt anyone, but now I'm so down with all of these. (If you could check my postings, you can realize am also a genuine member of indusladies)

I don't think I can be an ILite again, after all of these....members being skeptic about my credibility. I'm totally lost. I can't take this.

Please delete my account. I am not going to visit my favourite forum indusladies again.

Thanks for being patient to read my lament.

Regards,
Kousalya.
