| | Re: Finest Posts - August 2009 Winner Dear Jaya When Aishwarya Rai won the Miss World in 1994, I said that the Award had gained a lot of credibility. I say it now of IL’s FP award. With you winning it, it has certainly gained a lot of credibility. I missed reading your coveted post for some inexplicable reason till this Award was announced. I hastened to read it and offer my FB. I should say that you have a very unique style of writing that is very endearing. It is easy to make a lot of people cry buckets. It is easy to make them laugh hysterically too like we see in some of the smileys. But to make someone just smile from start to finish through some subtle, unobtrusive humour is the most difficult thing to do. Your prize winning post does just that. It made me, the grumpy me, wear a smile throughout! It is indeed a refreshingly charming narration. I would rank it as one of the best that I have read in IL. My hearty congratulations to you! Sri

Eminently readable and it richly deserves the FP Award.
Hearty congratulations. Looking forward to more such pieces from you.

Like SS has already mentioned, you were narrowly missing the winning accolade earlier . I am sure there was a divine reason as to why it had to be this month. The grass at your place is surely green!

Dear Chithra,
You are my role model, and love you so much. But to tell the truth this month there were very few nominations, so i had more chance of winning. It was like in the land of the blind, one eyed is the king.
Thanks Chithra

Sir,
Koncham overa theriyale! Heaps of praises for writing that is so simple, to tell the truth i wrote thinking of my late DH who enjoyed taking care of the lawn. He will not allow me to plant any thing as he says he wants an unobstructed lawn and when it rains he will go into the lawn and starts manuring it. I used to tell him " you have no other work but to get drenched in the rain and later on catch cold".
One more reason for the win is : there was very little other nominations & as a result i got the win- it is like in the school i used to think 1-2 rank holders if they are absent i always had a chance to get 1st rank , since most often i was 3-4 th rank holder.
But i still think my earlier posts "Professional fb writer" was much better.
Thanks,Jaya Quote:
