Dear friends,

The month of June generally marks a change of pace of sorts. In India it marks the onset of monsoon. In US it marks the beginning of summer vacations. Similarly, can we, the FP team, expect that this change of pace will be reflected in the FP as well? You tell us friends!

Is it fair for us to expect that some of the factors above that tend to make the pace of life slower will reflect in a faster pace at the FP? Will it rain nominations in the FP just as hard as it will rain in Mumbai or Kerala?! Will the summer break in the US break all records this month for the number of FP nominations in a single month?! We sure hope so friends!!
As always we look forward to a wonderfully busy month in the FP.

Please remember that nominations are welcome from ALL forums barring only a few forums like the Forwards, Jokes forums. So please bring your favorite posts from all our forums to the FP.

A few links appended below give you a preview to the FP contest, its rules, the nomination process and steps on how to add links to your nominations.

Finest Posts of IL

Each member is allowed to nominate up to 4 posts only.
This ensures that each of us have a hand in deciding the winning post as we will filter our choice more closely, thus making the winner more significant.

Definitely Andal. We welcome poems in all languages. Of course, they should be an original creation of the person who has posted it.

Also, for poems in languages other than English it would be good if the person nominating or the original poster could provide at least a rough translation for the masses who do not understand that language.

Dear Malathi,

Thanks for kick starting the June nominations with a post that radiates positivity. Padma's " I’ve been promoted! " is a post that brings a fresh and positive perspective to the term "advancement".

I am thankful to you patrons of the FP for bringing such wonderful posts here for the benefit of all and surely to the benefit of Kamla and I.

thanks for your reply.

I want to nominate all the threads of nilaraseegan, who is rocking in IL with his beautiful and mindblowing poems - basically on love.

One among the best is his குழந்தைக்கவிதைகள்.

Here he talks about the innocence, childishness of a child and how the parents w/o enjoying their kids affect the child's mind etc...

It is so poetic. I want to nominate this for June's best post.

Dear Supriya,

Thanks so much for bringing Jaya's hilarious account of a golf enthisiast " I almost thought iam tiger woods ".

I am quite a Tiger fan so the title itself was very attractive to me. To top it the entire post was written in such great humor. Enjoyed it thoroughly!

Dear Andal,

Thank you for bringing Nilaraseegan's love poems.

Love is a feeling that makes the world go around. I am sure the ILites amongst us who understand Tamil will relish reading these beautiful composittions.

If you get a chance the less fortunate ILites like me who cannot read or understand Tamil would love to read some of the poems translated in English.
