Yes friends, I think this song and the joy of it is still fresh in all our minds! Besides, we at FP can sing the same considering the successful run of our forum!! Also, 'Jai Ho' to all the ILites who partake in this thread with fervor!

Just as our beloved ARRahman has won laurels and made a mark in the world with his lilting tunes, so also the many contributors from the Snippets forum have left a deep impression on the ILites with their excellent works. Bravo to our very talented writers !

We are more than happy to receive them here with open arms. At the same time, we would like to remind all our ILites gently that the Finest Posts forum is to recognize the wonderful work and contribution of ILites from ALL its forums. The FP forum will only get richer and our IL will gain by recognizing great advice on life and living, helpful reference provided in the travel, entertainment and money forums, excellent work done in the arts and crafts, just to mention a few.

By including posts which have impressed you from varied forums, you will make it more visible to other ILites who may have missed out on it and also encourage illustrious ILites who share their experiences and advice in order to help others. So friends, do keep this in mind while nominating .


Each member is allowed to nominate up to 4 posts only.
This ensures that each of us have a hand in deciding the winning post as we will filter our choice more closely, thus making the winner more significant.

The nominations will be closed on the 26th of every month. Simultaneously, the nomination thread for the following month will be opened.

In case of nominating FBs, please remember to add a link to the FB and not to the original post.

Thanks for inaugurating the March FP with such a beautiful nomination.

Mithila M'am's " Is old age a curse? " is an excellent post that not just talks about a problem that is very close to all our hearts, but it also provides some great ideas on how the problem can be alleviated. I think this combination of the problem and the solution is brilliant! It is not wonder that it has been nominated several times in the FP for February also.

I loved the post and I am glad that you brought it to the FP again.

I rushed in here to nominate this thread - How to save money during these tough market situations? started by Sudhirakumar.

Though she started this thread in Feb, I am little late to nominate it while you have already started March month contest. Hope that's ok?!

I felt this is such an apt discussion at this time of economic crisis. Helps lots of ladies here to brainstorm on how to save, how to be prepared financially to face layoffs, how to manage with single salary or no salary for some time (God forbid).

Sudhira's discussion has really kicked off with lots of ILites participating and sharing their thoughts to it.

Just wanted to pass on my kudos to thoughtfulness of Sudhira by nominating this thread for the Finest Post contest

I am not a great reader...I can't read fiction / non-fiction however interesting they are for even a few minutes together. Also, due to lack of time and interest, I do not get to read many in the good to read forums here. So whenever I saw Finest post nominations being from those forums, I stayed quite for I am not knowledgeable to nominate from there.

Now I see you calling nominations from other forums too...I came forward to nominate some great posts that I keep reading here (quietly) in the other forums - those practical discussions.

Thank you for bringing such a positive thread like " Would you marry your husband again? " to the FP.

I have been following this thread and have immensely enjoyed reading everyone's insightful FBs.

Rihana is a rich contributor in IL,especially in the Marriage forum. Her replies and suggestions are always very solution oriented, crisp and to the point. The positive tone in her writing shows that she is a very caring and considerate person.

I am very happy about this nomination also because you nominated a post from a forum other than the popular Snippets forum which gives us mods a chance to clarify any doubts regarding forums that are eligible to participate in the FP contest.

Just to re-iterate what my partner Kamla has already said in her opening post for this month's nomination, the FP welcomes posts from ALL forums (except the Forwards, Games and Jokes forums). The caveat being that any post that is nominated MUST be an original creation of the author.

For eveyone's benefit, let me add a link which describes the idea and thought behind the FP contest - Finest Posts of IL.

Hi All,
I just have a thought.so many topics get repeated again and newly registered ILs who are not aware of the topic already existing topic, pour in loads of replies and even vote here.For eg. Rihanna topic ,had been discussed in another form before Poll: If given a chance to marry again... by malspie.
So can a point be made that duplicated topics are excluded from being nominated..I understand that SS has given her point.I hope you al take it in right spirit and i am not being a spoil-sport..
