Dear friends, Hope you all are landing on this side of 2009 with cheer and optimism. All of us got a wake up call when we witnessed the appalling scenes in Mumbai. But then, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. We do see that our brothers and sisters in Mumbai are getting tougher and going. Let us pray in earnest that peace may prevail and hope to do what little we can to make this world a better place. I am more than sure that all of us ILites unite in this sentiment. Regarding IL, it surely is going ahead with gusto! As can be witnessed from the list of nominations for December: We do not fret about disagreeing with each other or give vent to our personal irritants . We do get hot and bothered at times and simply kindness personified at other times. We do not hesitate to avoid each other from going overboard and thus maintain our equilibrium. Goes to prove that all is fine and sane in our IL world at least and things are just as they should be. Three nominations had Mumbai attack as their subject matter which is to be expected. Besides our regulars like Devika, Oviya, Malspie and Kamalji with two of his revivals, we have had many new entrants. Notably, the two Padmas, with two entries each! All in all, the FP has surely come of age! We now have a very wide choice of writers to chose from and our ILites are surely very selective and sure about their choices. We at FP can afford to smile!
