Finest Posts - October 2008 Winner!

Dear friends,

I am more than sure that after reading the name of this month's winner, there might be a big celebration amongst ILites.

This member has touched almost each and every one of us personally through her posts on sensitive subjects like mother, pets, nature etc etc besides explaining how our luck swings and where a door or window in our houses should be or should not through her know how. And if you are not one of those who is interested in that, she must have entertained you through the latest on the entertainment scene, be it TV or Cinema. If that is not your cup of T, then she will bring you an almost live commentary on cricket! Otherwise, she will take you with her on one of her trips be it to Navi Mumbai or to Shirdi....All in all, she infuses IL and ILites with her vibrant energy

Her trip took her straight into our October month becoming the Winner of the Finest Post.

This post could win hands down for the sheer detail and explanatory style of her road trip. It endears itself to the readers who will note that it is a labor of love. After an intriguing intro, she gradually takes all of us along with her on a trip to see all those beautiful and significant temples. We end up fretting about keeping time and worry about the friend who is in pain.

Dear Malspie....I may never visit those religious places, but feel I have been there now, thanks to your pictorial travelogue. Besides sharing your personal experiences and pleasurable trip with all of us, you have also provided minute details of those places along with pictures, which will be of great reference manual for members who want to visit those destinations.

Your posts have been nominated almost every month as far as I can remember and it has been a pure pleasure to declare your post as a winner of this month.

Dear friends,

Nevermind how festive October was in reality, what really mattered here was the festival of excellent posts that were nominated for FP this October.

Our crowned queens Devika Menon and Mithila Kannan were here again with mind blowing creations and were duly accompanied by Twinsmom.

Anandchitra, Sriniketan, Sundarusha,Padmasrinivas have all contributed wonderful posts which were both entertaining and thought provoking.

They were ably joined by Balajee and Bhiku Mahtre whose writings are attention grabbers which are always laced with fine humor. Goes to prove that lean numbers don't matter, matter matters!! Their tribe may be in minority in IL, but when they write, its 'oho'! But then, they have to only look at Varalotti who started off the trend right in the beginning of IL and is still going strong...

Tikka and Janvi posed interesting questions on Religion and Adoption which in turn produced some great feedbacks and guidance into those aspects of life. Vidya24's reply in the Adoption thread deserves a special mention which has been written with great eloquence in her inimitable style. Impressive, in one word.

And there is Oviya.....She is proving to be an amazing writer taking us readers for a ride and we seem to go happily wherever she wants us to. Let's hope she will keep writing as I for one can never seem to have enough of it!

No need to add that we had a tough-- a v v v tough time to choose one post as the winner of the month. But then, that seems to be our sweet dilemma.

I haven't yet stepped into it...was little bit busy with my short trip to India and then shifting of house here..Will certainly go there soon.
