It's hot. Yes friends, it was hot both outside and inside IL!

Just like the heat the sun imparted this July, the energy imparted by our nominating and nominated ILites was also hot hot. Only, the heat of the FP warmed the cockels of our heart.

If one is not that lucky and is alone, it will be a tribute she/he pays to God's creation by remembering to treat oneself to a small pleasure and say a loud Thank You for this miracle called Life.

Vidya Arun takes us through the journey of her thoughts with her wonderfully penned words--words which are at once colorful, energetic, expressive and at times, stunning. Dear ILites,

Our FP forum is thriving! This is thanks to all of us--the members of Indusladies.

While we have some excellent writers amongst us, we also have many enthusiastic readers who seem to digest every good piece that appears in our forums and hurry to bring it to the attention of all others.

With the number of nominations crossing half a century this month, it is a clear reflection on how interested our readers are to bring to light the many many good stories and blogs that are spread all over IL forums, some new, some not so new and some buried in our IL's archives, for eg, Varalotti's Promise.

It is nice to see Chitvish, Cheeniya and Varalotti's names appearing once again in our nomination pages, they surely enrich the forum.

We are also happy to note that we have acquired some resident writers in FP like Devika Menon, Mithila Kannan, Kamalji and Bridhak, to name a few. They add spice to our forum with their responses and exchanges.

And there is an ever growing number of new and highly talented writers whose works are cherished and nominated.

Here, I make a special mention of Ojaantrik who is the newbee on the boat and he almost captained the ship with his "Dog and I, I Ghost and Plutonic Love". Way to go sir.

We are also thankful for remarkable contributions from Bhiku Mahtre, Meera, Shanvy, Malspie, Jenz, Sriniketan etc etc. FP will be a dull place without their contributions.

IL surely is a happening place today, thanks to our members who have taken to pen their thoughts bringing thought provoking articles, humorous anecdotes and current issues for the attention of one and all in IL.

Now let's wait for the August month to see what specialities our writing fraternity here is preparing for us.

Congrats! My ‘Feeling About My Birthday!!!!’ was quite a stupendous piece. It spanned a lifetime of emotions, sentiments and convictions about that one day in our lives, which comes unfailingly every year. But with a difference, as we look at with wonder stuck, child’s eyes at one time, with jaded, adult ennui at other times, and finally with sagacious, human acceptance as we mature beyond our mere chronological ages. You have brought out all these with much felicity. A very well deserved win indeed!

It is nice to read your posts all over IL. Last month’s FP nomination on your experiences at work was just as marvellous. July seems to be quite your month- what with a befitting FP win, with a serial in which you are a heroine- way to go, girl!! Enjoy IL and FP!
