Finest Posts- July 2008 nominations!

Dear friends,

With this post, we hereby open up nominations for the Finest Post of July. Please read through all the wonderful posts in IL, find works that you feel are worth sharing and post your nominations. Please note that anyone can nominate the post of anyone. There are no rules or restrictions here. All members from new comers with one post to ILites in the Hall of Fame- all are eligible to nominate and be nominated.

Please note that posts by Cheeniya, Varalotti and ChitVish are definitely eligible for nomination. Since these three legends of IL have asked that they should not be considered for the contest, we do not include their posts in the prize contest. But all their posts contain words of wisdom which can be nominated for more visibility and reading. We saw a drop in nominations of posts by these three Musketeers, hence this gentle reminder to resolve any confusion in that line.

We leave the process and dynamics of nomination entirely in your capable hands. We should not tell you what to nominate or whom to nominate. But as a small and significant request, we will be grateful if along with your usual, regular nominations, you try to include at least one nomination from posts by new comers. Who knows, we may find a winner there for keeps in IL. And in that vein, please go through all forums in hunting for posts. Last month, we found a treasure trove of nominations from the Pets sub forum. A forum that could do with much noticing and reading is Money Matters. Please do check posts there and see if anything appeals to you for nomination.

The above is only a request, not a mandate. Please nominate naturally, normally following your heart. It is your nominations that keep the Finest Post contest running.

I am so happy to nominate Sriniketan's (Bhargavi's) Good-bye. friends!!!!!!

Such a simple and thought provoking post. It brings out the origin of "good bye" and also the meaning. Sure is interesting to read the feedbacks too !

She always comes with different topics with her subtle sense of humour !
