From a lil girls genuine adoration of her mom's beauty, to a mature girl's acceptance of her mother's worldly wisdom, Devika has managed to encapsulate in a few paragraphs all that is perfect about God's perfet creation- Ma.

I could particularly relate to the part where the daughter places a small, red sticked bindi on the mom's forehead. A truly great piece by Devika! And a great nomination by Kamalji!

She has started such a lovely warm friendly welcoming thread and it has really got us all moving to actually meet up. That is a feat in itself to gear up complete families who hardly know each other to form a friendly community as an extension of this online community. From just posting replies and timid intros we are actually into actively involving the entire families to meet.

We all are looking forward to meeting up this weekend (Friday) with families. It started with just three four and now the list is 10+ families. I thought it deserved special mention and a nomination too .

Do go across and read thru to feel the excitement and the planning that is going in to make this meet a success.

Thanks for coming here and thanks for your nomination.
As it is a thread for ILites in Dubai, I must confess I have not read it, though have been noticing the title.
The enthusiasm and eagerness with which you have nominated it makes me want to run there and read through it, thanks for directing me to it.
I am heartened to see what a posting in IL has resulted in. I wish all of you a great time for your meets. What else can one wish for other than good friends when living so far away from homeland.
