Finest Posts - April 2008 Nominations

After having inadvertetnly fooling everyone about the March nomination announcement, ( I mean the delay and keeping everyone waiting )... here I am! No fooling around this time!

April is here in all its glory. Although many of us are experiencing rains and the chill winds, the spring is out there and the trees are abloom!!

We once again invite all of you to nominate your favorite posts for the Finest Post of the Month of April. You did simply great last month and we hope to see the same enthusiasm trickling into April.

Let me quote the lines of Vidya from last month to refresh some rules for the convenience of one and all:

1) From March, you may nominate blogs also for the contest. So, extend your reading all thorough IL and nominate blogs and posts in the forums.

2) The winner of Finest Posts will get a special, snazzy gift.

3) The person nominating the winning post will also get a gift which will be an IL T-shirt. If more than one person nominate the same post, the first person nominating will be eligible for the T-shirt.

4) We also request the winner of the FP contest everymonth to update her/his signature with the clinching words 'Finest Posts-February winner'. We will also update our signatures with a link to this post.

He has very clearly explained that nobody is self-made, but only self-motivated. His last line is most apt
Let us always remember the immortal verse of Saint Thyagaraja, 'Entharo mahanubhavulu anthiriki vandhanamu’ (To all the great people, I pay my obeisance) .
There cannot be a more fitting statement behind everybody's success. But sadly we forget the very pillars who were responsible for our birth besides a host of others. He has analysed in his inimitable way that "Self-made" is not a right word at all!

Her reply is really thought proking.She has clearly emphasized on civic sense and stated a sound fact that while Indians rank top in culture and tradition ,and stay behind in cleanliness and hygiene.

I am inspired by her words which follow

i never seem to understand the absolute apathy that exists in our country towards cleanliness...we are so obsessed with our culture and religion,but sadly forget that cleanliness is next (only) to godliness...
we need to make people more sensitive to cleanliness and hygiene and it should be made part of our schooling.

Which i came to nominate is already there and both of them.
1st blog written by RamyaVaradharajan "The stay young Mantras" She has put up so well How to remain young at any age.
2nd one is by Srinivasan-Vanaja........To Understand a woman better........your help needed.
Here all the ladies have put up they views so well especially Devika.menon, Shanthi and Sunkan
and yes most of the ladies point of view is great.
