Dear Mithila Madam, Vidya and Ilites,

Now I feel more responsible for actual cause for this thread which carries figurative suggestions and facts of life.

Now that this thread had come as a nomination for FP of the moth, I felt that I should tell you one thing here - For the first two days after my posting of this thread, there was only one response.

I felt that this thread is not a mere sharing of thoughts but is going to be useful for a team who is struggling to provide audience a good and fruitful programme. That is why I had mentioned "your help needed" in the title.

I thought that I should grab people here to give valuable suggestions. I chose few ilites who give regular attendance to IL and moderators and PMed them the invitation. Some of them had asked me time for putting their suggestions as they have admitted that it needs an introspection.

My replies to the ilites who gave suggestions in the open forum were just "thank giving replies" as I wanted this thread to contain more of good suggestions than me introspecting their suggestions.

Apart from my invitation, I found few young ilites had come out with valuable suggestions and given an exalted position to this thread.

I thank one and all here for making this thread a success and foundation for a good cause. I have received an award already in the form of your replies.

If I get some more valuable suggestions and narration, it is a privilege.

Thank you for nominating 'An Affair to remember' by Cheeniyasir. As is rightly said, a flawless mind makes up for everything. Cheeniyasir always has a message to convey in all his posts, veiled and laced as they are with contemporary wit and philosophy. And this piece is no example. A great post, a must read for all.

Sunkan,

thanks for the kind words, of which i dont deserve so much, but thanks .

For the I lites i will give a small example of how kind u are.

I was invited to Sunkan's house for Dinner,along with my Daughter Sita.A blogger friend of Banglore, stays close to Sunkan's house offered to drop me on the way.

There were no lights in sunkan's neighbourhood,and it was pitch Dark.I drink every night, and i could not ask Sunkan that u have to serve me drinks, so in the club where i stayed, i drank my quota in the evening.

And when we reached Sunkan's home, it was pitch dark, and my friend too was told to come in.And in pitch darkness, Sunkan came with two bottles of Beer, which she had so thoughtfully ordered, and i was so touched by her gesture, i cant tell u I lites what i felt.

And then in pitch darkness her daughter Chitra fried Fish and served us in the candlelight, and i just did not know what to say.

I have met some wonderful people in my life, and i can say with all my heart, Sunkan floored me with her hospitality,and kindness.Andi was meeting her for the first time, and i have a pretty bad reputation , with my talk of girls all the time,and im glad Sunkan was not scared of me

i am deeply touched by bhargavi's nomination of my post to this forum,it being just a reply,not even a thread starter...
it is a great honour to even have my name mentioned in the same forum as the jambavans and veterans of IL,and though i know that my small post deserves to be nowhere even near the finishing line, this is a very special thing for me...
many thanks to bhargavi for the nomination.
i missed seeing it till BC brought it to my notice, and hence the delay in acknowledging it...

Her reply is really thought proking.She has clearly emphasized on civic sense and stated a sound fact that while Indians rank top in culture and tradition ,and stay behind in cleanliness and hygiene.

I am inspired by her words which follow

i never seem to understand the absolute apathy that exists in our country towards cleanliness...we are so obsessed with our culture and religion,but sadly forget that cleanliness is next (only) to godliness...
we need to make people more sensitive to cleanliness and hygiene and it should be made part of our schooling.

I am nominating for the first time...and wud like to nominate mithila mams posts..all her posts actually...it was like hearing my grandmothers stories from her childhood...i used to enjoy it as it came with all the right expressions ..same with mithila ma

Hi kamla and vidya,
I nominate devika memon's HE: Our Ventriloquist .

It was a wonderful poem written by her and makes us remind that we are given a wonderful life and also feel contented with what we have.Really that was great.Right???.The poem was really touching.It should not miss to catch the eye of viewers..
