Dear Kamla and Vidya,

I think I have done my duty for the day. I have justified the food I ate and the natural resources I used today to live. For I just read Devika's poem, "When You Look At Me"

The poem talks about the soft love that exists between the lovers and about the love that extends to their old age.

Once you finish reading the poem, just feel the corners of your eyes with your fingers. They will be slightly wet.
And that speaks volumes about the poem and the poetess.

I have been truly blessed to nominate Devika Menon's poem for the finest post of April 2008.

love,

Dear Vase and Arunarc,

Thanks a lot for nominating. My thread carried only questions. But the replies are worth to be crowned.

Dear Sridhar Varalotti,

Thank you for such a beautiful nomination. When we repeatedly read and accept nominations of posts by our ILites, we run short of adjectives. Their works are so super and sublime. Devika is one ILite who has enriched IL and Good to Read. Her posts and poems are always greeted with appreciation. This soft poem that talks of younger dizzy love with trembling in the heels to a sublime, entrenched love of old age 'blessed with ardency'- is a real love sonnet.Thank you for putting up such a wonderful nomination.

regards
Vidya

Dear Vanaja,

You are one ILite who adds wisdom and maturity to our site (kind of balancing out the goofy one like me). And it is very generous when you attribute all the glory to the answers in your thread. However, your questions that were thought provoking and kindling of much discussion are equally if not more important. Thank you.

regards
Vidya
