| Dear Sridhar I am just speechless. It is not your nominating my poem for the month but the forceful way that you have explained your nomination that has swept me off my feet. I feel humbled by this gesture. Sri

| Dear Sunkan, This Raman-Ramar must be a very interesting matter indeed to bring you here with the nomination. So far, I have only read the title and have already made a note to read it...which I surely will now:) Thanks for the nomination. L, Kamla |

| Dear BF.......Oh bf!! En saar engalai chumma vendatha vambukku alaikireenge?!! (Rough translation: Why are you pulling us into unwanted controversies sir?!) I hope you read my rounding off post in the March nominations thread?! Finest Post - March 08 Winner! It is so very difficult to state that the rest of the posts nominated are Not the winners! That is the reason we keep repeating that all the nominated posts become winners by default!! Nominating just one post as a winner is only the encouragement given to all writers for their excellent posts, which in turn encourages more such contributions and also provokes a silent reader to attempt to write and give form to their thoughts. Also, this is one contest where we have no hard and fast rules for selecting a winner, I admit! Actually, you have made my task easy by outlining some of the thoughts that direct our final decision of choosing a winner for a particular month. Besides, by withdrawing and compelling us not to count your inputs, you yourself have made the task of selection somewhat easy on us, I admit truthfully:) Some others too have followed suit....... .......And on that same criteria, Cheeniya sir's post which you have nominated here, will not be considered for the winning post!!!! But we all know that it is a hands down Winner by any standards. Thank you for this wonderful nomination. It is bound to gain attention and many more will get to read, which is the point of this whole Finest Post of the Month forum. And sir, thanks for giving this opportunity to make this point clear not only to you, but to many other silently questioning IL'ites, I will quote your words below for everyone's benefit as to what motivates us to select the Winner of the Month! Thanks for making my job simple Sridhar :) Yes friends, the following are the reasons that guide us in our decision: What makes a post the finest post of the month? Well, it could be because, it touched a chord somewhere in you. Or because it was written so well, that you regard it as the finest exhibition of writing skills Or because it provided some useful information, may be how to make paruppu thuvaiyal or how to appease God for getting more favours. Or it was so moving, loving and truthful at the same time, as in the case of Kamla's letter to Ramya when she lost in the Contest Or because it stated the author's view so forcefully and proved another ILite wrong, but did that with unparalleled grace, as in the case of vidya's rejoinder to me in A Love story for you. I was going through the index of FP prepared by you and Vidya. Simply Awesome. Going through the index I felt like travelling down the memory lane with you and Vidya as my guiding companions. Only when I look back at what you guys have done, I can even begin to appreciate your service to this community. I do write for the community. But there are selfish motives behind that as well. I want people to read my work. I want their views and fbs. But the work done by you gals is selfless and self-effacing. Hats off to you, ladies. I was just kidding about you people being unfair. In fact your post and that of Vidya became the winners seconds after they were written. Quote:
