| Dear Kamla and Vidya, I love to nominate Vidya's crisp, cryptic write-up on world wide women. In her own poignant style she has condemned the practice of Female Genital Cutting, a barbaric practice prevalent in Africa and the Middle East. As she has said in her post we cannot hope to raise international concern with this post, but there is no better place to voice our protest than in an international forum where some 15000 plus well-meaning, kind women are members. Here's the link WWW----World Wide Women It's my pride to nominate this post for the finest post of February 2008. And ladies the minimum you can do in this connection is to read Vidya's post and post your views on that. love,

| Dear ILites I have pleasure in nominating Kamalji's 'Ironies of life' for the current month. The entire thread sounds more like an intense introspection on the travails of the have-nots. The thread pulsates with genuine grief and concern for the poor father of the girl who will have to move heaven and earth to educate his daughter. The greater irony will be how the girl will repay the sacrifices of her father. I felt really moved reading this thread Ironies of Life Sri

| Dear Cheeniyasir, Thank you for visiting us with a nomination that speaks of irony but holds the milk of human kindness. Kamalji's post is being repeatedly nominated this month. And no wonder, it is amazing how he can write crisply, often with a dry nay arid tone and touch our heart strings. IL is blessed to have a blogger like Kamalji. With your nomination, FP is singing 'Hallelujah' since the Trinity of IL have visited us here. regards Vidya |
